1723 Wood's Hibernia Halfpenny. 111.1 grains. Uncirculated or finer. Glossy, lustrous fields are aglow with hints of original mint red on this relatively well struck specimen of a coinage that was ill received in both Ireland and the American Colonies. Planchet has spread out wide, with a clearly upturned area of denticulation around the periphery of both sides. A single planchet crack is the result of the pressure of striking.
