1652 Massachusetts Bay Colony Silver Related. Pine Tree ''IV Shilling'' Coin Box. Extremely Fine....1652 Massachusetts Bay Colony Silver Related. Pine Tree ''IV Shilling'' Coin Box. Extremely Fine. This charming, Silver Dollar size piece of exonumia closely replicates the Noe 1 Pine Tree on its obverse, while the reverse has the mysterious denomination ''IV Shilling'' above the date in the center, in addition to the normal peripheral legends. The obverse flips open under some pressure to reveal a neatly laid out space for a photo or other object. This curiosity is the first we have ever encountered and we can only surmise why its maker had endeavored to make a Massachusetts 4 shilling coin!
