Undated (period of the Revolutionary War and later) George III Indian Peace Meda l. Silver. Solid....Undated (period of the Revolutionary War and later) George III Indian Peace Meda l. Silver. Solid. 61.0mm. 864.6 grains. Type of Jamieson 15. Technically About Uncirculated. Bright silver in color on both sides. Surfaces somewhat reflective. Well struck, with even the highest details still mostly sharp, despite its having seen use as intended. Obverse scratched, some surface damage at right on obverse mirrored at left on reverse. Original ornamented suspension loop. Obverse: armored bust right of the young king. Reverse: royal Arms and supporters. These sorts of medals were presented to second rank native Americans and Canadians who actively supported the British cause during the American Revolution.
