1652 Massachusetts Bay Colony. Pine Tree Shilling. Noe 4.5 (R-5). 65.1 grains. Choice Very Fine. Pale...1652 Massachusetts Bay Colony. Pine Tree Shilling. Noe 4.5 (R-5). 65.1 grains. Choice Very Fine. Pale silver gray in color with some golden highlighting on both sides. Struck on a slightly wider flan with the obverse letters mostly on the flan, the ones on the back off to the left. Nice, mint-made planchet shape. Planchet line across the base of the reverse.
