1882 5¢. J.1690, (R-5). Nickel, PE. Gem Brilliant Proof. Regular Liberty Nickel dies as adopted in 1883 without CENTS on the reverse. A radiant Gem with strong ''flash'' in the fields and satiny devices. Free of spots or other detractions, although a blush of haze is noted on both sides. A thoroughly satisfying example of this popular and highly collectible pattern issue. Perfect to include with an advanced collection to show the first coinage of the new design as adopted. Housed in a first generation small PCGS holder. PCGS PR66.
