 1817 Newcomb 16. 15 Stars. Mint State-60. This handsome coin displays the smoothly reflective medium brown beauty of higher grade. Fields are refreshingly free of porosity and distracting marks and its beauty is further enhanced by a faintly silver sheen. The quality of strike is shown by the full centrils of each star and a slightly off-center reverse adds to the coin's bold visual interest. Scarce so finely preserved.
