1787 Connecticut copper. MBL. M.9-R. R-4+. Choice Very Fine. 124.4 gns. Light steel gray and brown...1787 Connecticut copper. MBL. M.9-R. R-4+. Choice Very Fine. 124.4 gns. Light steel gray and brown in color. Obverse and reverse surfaces just microgranular with a few scattered flaws mostly on the reverse. About perfectly centered on both sides. Clear planchet cutter mark visible running around the top of the reverse. Later obverse state, the die swelling below the effigy's chin.

Ex Elmer Sears Collection (B. Max Mehl, December 18, 1918, lot 247). Square collector's ticket accompanies the lot.
