1787 Connecticut copper. MBL. Horned bust. M.4-L. R-1. Choice About Uncirculated. One of the best...1787 Connecticut copper. MBL. Horned bust. M.4-L. R-1. Choice About Uncirculated. One of the best seen. 140.0 gns. Normal planchet, 28.3 mm. Lovely light to medium brown in color with traces of faded lustre in the protected areas on both sides. Surfaces only lightly granular, essentially as made, the reverse particularly bright and sharp in appearance. Both sides well centered. Struck from the broken state of the obverse with the horn here a crescent in the left field and not yet attached to the effigy's chest.
