1838'C' Brilliant Uncirculated or nearly so. Extremely well struck with reflective surfaces that are toned a pale greenish-gold. The mintmark is recut as is usually seen on this date. A few hairlines are visible under magnification. This date is the rarest of all the Classic Head Quarter Eagles with only 7,880 pieces struck and as such is always in demand. Here is a specimen that should be given strong consideration.
