Copper Frame for a Complete Single Set of Panama-Pacific Coins, 1915. Perhaps 30 survive. About Uncirculated. The top of this hammered Copper frame is stamped SHREVE & CO./ SAN FRANCISCO/ MAKERS. The excellently preserved purple velvet-lined easel-back holder has an opening for one of each denomination, including both octagonal and round $50. A gold-stamped satin ribbon bears four lines bearing the name and locale of the Exposition, Congressional authorization and San Francisco Mint strike of the coins.
