1802/1 B.9 (R-6). Overdate. Choice Fine. Richly toned in deep lavender-gray, with areas of lighter rose-gold hues dancing in and around the legends and devices. Well struck and problem-free, this specimen will find a welcome home in the collection of an advanced variety collector. The B.9 is the rarest of the business strike 1802's, and is easily attributed by the small die lump in the field below the 'B' of LIBERTY. Nine specimens of this variety had been reported to the JRCS September 2000 Dollar Census, and this specimen would fall at the end of the reported grade range of Fine-15 to Extremely Fine-45.
