 Undated (Circa 1694) London Elephant Token. GOD PRESERVE LONDON. No Diagonals. Thick Planchet. Breen 186. About Uncirculated. 228.6 grains. Original but subdued mint red color fills the fields and hugs the devices on this very high quality survivor of a charming token issue. Surfaces are glossy and exhibit hints of light lustre, highlighting the generally well struck devices. The planchet quality is average to above average for the issue, with no major planchet flaws to be found. Here is a wonderful specimen of this American-related issue that hails from the illustrious Robison collection.
