 1916 Detail of Brilliant Uncirculated. Full Split Bands. Cleaned long ago and now acquiring a pale lilac-gray toning. The lustre and strike are such that they resemble that of a Matte Proof. Fully struck design features accompany surfaces that exhibit a finish unlike that of a typical Dime of this issue. In fact, the consignor believed this coin to be a Proof!
