1859 Repunched Date. Snow 2. Superb Gem Brilliant Uncirculated. A strike of astounding intensity is the defining factor of this extremely high quality first year of type. Scintillating, bold mint lustre cartwheels from the surfaces of this essentially blemish-free coin. A few minor tics are noted at the central reverse, but these are so trivial as to not affect the overall superlative appeal of this Indian Cent variety. The obverse die is noticeably misaligned toward the 10:00 position. Snow mentions that the finest known is an NGC MS65, a grade that the current specimen would easily tie or even surpass.
