1855 Br.1, C.1. (R-5 as Proof). Proof-64. A delightful coin that boasts quite a bit of iridescent mint red fading to light brown on the obverse. The reverse is toned a handsome medium olive-brown. One tiny obverse speck will serve to identify this coin. It lies between the upper left points of the second star just touching the dentils. Mirrored fields and needle-sharp design elements complete the allure of this noteworthy specimen. Highly appealing for the grade, and a rare early Proof issue.
