1800 B.13a (R-4). A strong Very Fine approaching Extremely Fine in terms of wear, but cleaned and with a few obverse surface scratches and a touch of porosity. Starting to retone around the periphery and sporting a decent naked eye appearance. This later die state was formerly considered a separate die variety (B.18) but subsequent research showed it to be only a heavily clashed die state of the B.13 die pairing.
