Die Alignment IV. Perfect reverse die state. Very rare: one of only 300 struck for circulation. This specimen is pale to medium gray in the centers with iridescent toning around the peripheries. The centers were well struck. There is a small Mint made planchet depression on the back with some scratches inside. Like the 1836 Original, a specimen of the 1839 Original belongs in every type or date collection of Silver Dollars.
