A wonderful example of this desirable date boasting gleaming graphite and deep blue toning on the obverse, a single hairline in the upper left field. The reverse is silver over an arc of russet and blue at the base. Discounting the unique 1870'S', the 1846 is the key date to the Liberty Seated Dime series, with very few offerings as attractive as this one. Just 27,000 struck of this date.
