 1895 Very Choice Cameo Proof. A gorgeous cameo example of the key date to the whole Morgan Dollar series. Only 880 Proofs were struck in this Proof-only year. This specimen shows full, deep mirror fields on both sides. The devices are all pleasantly frosty and stand out in cameo-like appearance against the fields. The surfaces are shimmering and have the lovely water-like look desired from the best Mint Proofs. The central design details are all sharply struck, with Miss Liberty's locks bold and sharp and the eagle's breast feathers clear and well defined. Both sides are delicately toned in pale steel gray with a touch of russet around the rims. The coin's overall quality is very close to that of a full Gem specimen.
