 1890 Superb Gem Brilliant Proof. A lovely, glorious jewel-like specimen. This is one of the finest Morgan Dollar Proofs we have handled. Both sides are attractively toned around the rims in deep russet and rich iridescent blue. The fields are bright, fully reflective and show deep mirrors. They have a rich, unbroken watery appearance. The central design details are sharply struck. They are both pleasingly frosty and stand out sharply against the shimmering fields. The piece is nearly flawless and really qualifies for the term ''jewel''. Only 590 Proofs were struck. It would be nearly impossible to improve on the quality of this coin.
