 1854 Extremely Fine. A rare date in virtually any grade, with only 33,140 struck. Most of these were melted later on. This specimen is light gray in the centers with pale russet and gold around the rims. The centers were well struck and the reverse shield lines still show sharp central details. There are tantalizing hints of original mint lustre in some of the protected areas.
