1794 Breen 2b, Cohen 2a (R-2+). 1 High, 7 Low, Small Edge Letters. About Uncirculated-50. Excellent color and surface quality distinguish this handsome coin. Well centered with sharply defined borders enclosing glossy medium brown fields, from which spring the crisply defined reliefs. Normal head and heavy wreath define the main devices of this important variety. This early die state is free of obtrusive die clash and the overall quality of this coin can only be called exceptional. Finer than the Schonwalter specimen sold by us in January 2003. This grade places the coin near the middle of the CQR Condition Census which lists four About Uncirculated examples for the variety.
