Here is a fully lustrous specimen boasting semi-prooflike flash at the edges of the devices and legends. The central strike is a trifle above average for this notoriously ill-defined issue, the reverse exhibiting the characteristically bolder strike than the obverse. Rich, green-gold toning with hints of orange define this very attractive survivor of just 15,000 pieces minted of this date.

A close examination with a glass reveals tiny rust pits around LIBERTY that were in the die, so noted for the researcher of die states.
