MDLIX in exergue. Choice Extremely Fine. Edge filed around. From the same obverse die as the next two. Undoubtedly extremely rare. Mr. Ford noted this was the only struck silver specimen he had ever seen, although he was aware of one silver cast example. When Rome was at peace she closed the doors of the Temple of Janus. When they were opened the fate of everyman was in the hands of the unknown god.
