Lustre glows in the crevices of the devices as well as in the fields around the legends on this very well struck, very eye appealing New Orleans mint issue. A finer specimen in terms of eye appeal would be difficult to locate, but examination under magnification reveals a short scratch under the truncation of Miss Liberty's bust and some thin, nearly imperceptible graffiti in front of her face.
