 1845'D' About Uncirculated. Deep yellow-gold lustre shows a trace of red. Bold 'D' mintmark touches both arrow feathers and '1' of the fraction. This pleasing coin is one of 19,460 struck at Dahlonega, and shows little of the softness at the centers noted by Akers. This is a distinctly better-than-average example of this Branch Mint date, virtually unobtainable in full Mint State. PCGS AU50.
