1858 Large Letters. Brilliant Uncirculated. Here is a lustrous example of our nation's first Small Cent type. A couple of unretained laminations were dropped prior to striking, leaving areas of weakness near 'UNI' and at the upper wing tip. The reverse has somewhat prooflike surfaces in the protected areas.
