1794 S.68 (R-5). Bisecting Crack. Fine-12. Charming olive-brown devices and legends are surrounded by a slightly darker brown shade, lending this coin an attractive cameo-like contrast. Surfaces are uniformly lightly porous and appear glossy due to a thick layer of lacquer or some other such substance. Here is a very acceptable specimen of this rare variety that is easily discerned by the jagged die crack that meanders from the rim at 8:30 through Miss Liberty to the rim at 2:00 on the obverse.
