1723 Wood's Hibernia Halfpenny. N.5. Choice Uncirculated. 117.8 gns. A lovely example with about 50% obverse and 40% reverse mint red color still remaining. The fields are a little rough in appearance particularly on the back and the obverse and reverse are slightly off center to the right on each side. Fairly sharply struck in the centers, HIBERNIA's figure is rough in its deepest recesses as usually seen.
Ex Tom Elder's sale of July 2, 1915; F.C.C. Boyd Estate.
