 1838'C' Choice Extremely Fine. Greenish-gold toning over lightly bagmarked surfaces. Underlying mint bloom is still visible. A major diagonal die crack on the reverse divides the reverse into two sections and slightly different planes. The area between the die crack and the eagle's wing has been totally untouched by circulation marks, while the rest of the fields exhibit light tics. Here is a very scarce issue with a very intriguing die state that surely could use some further study.
