Privately made decoration for gallantry in action at Little Bitter Creek, Dakota September 27, 1880. Two bars: Little Bitter Creek and Pine Bluffs. Named to: Corp. A. Marsh. Pinback stamped U.S. Army. C. Possibly silver. 99.8 mm. in length. Nearly as made. Gold ribbon. Swivel mount. The inscriptions accomplished in single letter punches.
