New Jersey. December 31, 1763. Three Pounds. No.229. Plate A. Signed by Rich.(ard) Smith, Jno. Johnston,...New Jersey. December 31, 1763. Three Pounds. No.229. Plate A. Signed by Rich.(ard) Smith, Jno. Johnston, and S. Skinner. Printed on slightly thick paper, standard designs with face in red and black. The back in black by James Parker. This denomination comes as ''A'' and ''B'' plate positions. Another ''sleeper'' note on New Jersey. Only 1,000 were printed. The condition is attractive. Very Fine. The color is sharp enough and printing is deep on both sides. This may have a hard crease, but it is not the often seen torn, split, pinned and otherwise trampled good or so. Eventually destined to receive the respect it deserves in this lofty state.
