MARYLAND. Allegany County Bank. $10.00 (27). All plate A. Cumberland. Written 1861 dates. American Bank Note Company. Pink-red tint with deeper red protectors and counter surrounds. Miners at work in tunnel. Female portraits in the corners. Haxby MD-155 G8b. All signed and fully issued notes. All four digit numbers in the 1200 range, several consecutive runs and from original packs one time. All very bright and fresh with vivid color. Groups like this are now seldom encountered. These were probably once part of the New Netherlands Coin Co. inventory (and probably were a bane to the Wormsers who would have designated this as ''junk''; fortunately Mr. Ford felt otherwise). Several have light horizontal folding, but light. Average About Uncirculated. 27 pieces.
