Harley Freeman died at the age of 80 in 1977 and was a fifty year ANA member, proposed by Farran Zerbe. His Florida reference was the first of a series of books by the Society of Paper Money Collectors on obsolete currency. His collection was magnificent and included notes that are still unique. Fred ''Freddie'' Werner was a Long Island (later Florida) coin and currency dealer and collector who was friendly with John Ford and also an early NASCA consignor and bidder. He built his superb Florida collection in less than 15 years and owned many of the unique notes from the Freeman sale.
