India paper Proof on card by A.B. & C. Durand & Wright. NY. Hercules about to club the Hydra at the upper left. At the right end is NJ Arms flanked by Liberty and Plenty, also signed by A. B. Durand. Haxby NJ-180 G36. Listed, but not illustrated in Haxby. The first we have seen of this highest denomination listed. There was likely a $100 note from this series as well. Some light toning and two pen cancels in the signature blocks. Choice.
