India paper Proof by Wellstood, Hanks, Hay & Whiting, New York. No protector. Liberty and eagle seated atop the globe showing North America. At the upper left the Bank die and at the lower right a large '3' with seated female and lighthouse. Haxby NY-940 G10 Unlisted with No Protector. Razor sharp corners and natural paper ripples at a few places. Must be called Gem. Great style and a rare bank for any genuine note. This location was plagued with counterfeit notes from this series (mostly $2.00 and $5.00 notes).
