 1773 Virginia Halfpenny. No Period. N.3-F. Choice Uncirculated, nearly Gem. 113.7 gns. The Newman Plate Coin. The obverse is about 50% full red while the reverse is a bright brilliant and blazing red gem. There is a small patch of verdigris on the 'X' on the obverse, and another more shallow area on George's chin.
