A large format note with green security back. Imprint of Douglas Engravers, New Orleans. At the lower left are loggers at work. The titles across the top center with a small eagle vignette in the center. Below the denomination is obligation 'in Merchandise of Lumber'. The back has a female and eagle between two '1' counters. Appears to be unissued although it fairly well worn. Unlisted Town and Issuer. Unlisted Denomination in Cassidy. He lists only a 25¢ note from this series which is unpriced. There are very few private scrip notes from this late period on Florida and this is certainly one of the rarest. Fred Werner had a note on the town, but not from this issuer. Some light surface soiling. Fine or perhaps a little better.
