India paper Proof on (new) card by Rawdon, Wright, Hatch & Edson, New-York. Red protector 'TEN'. Sailor seated by bales and barrels, ships to the upper left. At the lower left the Bank die, at the far right is a cameo head in an oval. Haxby NY-1510 G10b Unlisted with Red Protector. Another rare title on New York City. This was re-carded later, but done very well. Very Choice.

Ex Jack Guevrekian Collection (NASCA, January 14-15, 1977, lot 406).

The Guevrekian Sale by NASCA ordered the New York City notes before the upstate notes in the tradition established by D.C. Wismer.
