Green face tint and green security back. Indian brave on horseback at left, train along bottom. 8% Interest bearing and 'Redeemable in U.S. Currency'. Corlies, Macy & Co. No.9750. Rosene 332-1; Rarity 7, but actually a high Rarity 6. Unissued as usual. A rare Reconstruction Era scrip, integral for use after the War when the ''shinplasters'' were more than worthless. These notes paid interest and were loan certificates allowing taxes to be paid and other debts settled. Very Fine to Extremely Fine.
