State of Maryland. June 28, 1780 Act. Eight Dollars. No.1292. Signed by Walker and Dickinson; countersigned on the back by B.[enjamin] Harwood. Printed on thin paper, watermarked 'UNITED/STATES'. Standard size, face and back designs, and Hall and Sellers imprint. A third and final very sharp Eight Dollars note from the same serial number run of sheets broken up long ago. In the 1920's-1950's, these would have been rather inexpensive as there were sheets available at the time. However, we emphasize the word ''were.'' That was long ago and hand-cut, near Gems are not often seen today. This is a near-match to the prior two notes. Choice Crisp Uncirculated. Well printed, embossed, and well margined for the series. The ends are close on the back. An excellent opportunity to have another ''shot'' at a very sharp example of this type.
Ex F.C.C. Boyd Estate.
