State of Maryland. June 28, 1780 Act. Three Dollars. No.2745. Signed by Callahan and Harwood; countersigned...State of Maryland. June 28, 1780 Act. Three Dollars. No.2745. Signed by Callahan and Harwood; countersigned on the back by B.[enjamin] Harwood. Printed on thin paper, watermarked 'UNITED/STATES'. Standard size, face and back designs, and Hall and Sellers imprint. Back vignette of an eagle is fiercely attacking a heron, motto EXITUS IN DUBIO EST. The Three Dollar notes on this series would all make an excellent and compact collection. Maryland is scarcer, but fortunately the few that are encountered are generally higher grades. Crisp Uncirculated. Vivid and bright. The top is close and slightly inwards at the top back corner edge. For this note, quite close to Choice. A beauty.

Ex F.C.C. Boyd Estate.
