Printed on heavy rag paper with blue fibers. Standard smaller format size, approximately 95mm by 65mm. Uniface, standard styles and designs. Virginia tramples tyranny, motto SIC SEMPER TYRANNUS. This is the first series in the 4th edition Newman with Uncirculated notes listing. However, in this day and age, they are far from common.

A superb example and bordering on Gem quality. Choice Crisp Uncirculated. Crisp and vivid. Well margined, though a little closer at the left end. Tiny top corner tip ''dings.'' Moderate toning spot under the 'L' of 'ASSEMBLY' on the face. A wonderful representative of the classic Virginia type.

Ex F.C.C. Boyd Estate.
