Current Money of Virginia. July 17, 1775 Ordinance. One Shilling & Three Pence or Fifteen Pence....Current Money of Virginia. July 17, 1775 Ordinance. One Shilling & Three Pence or Fifteen Pence. No.24410. Signed by John Burnell. Printed on heavy rag paper with blue fibers. 89mm by 74mm. Uniface. Elaborate border cuts with Arms upper right, in right border 'A PISTEREEN'. Denomination in top line text with '&'. A second high grade example of this denomination type, but with slightly different text on the top line. At first glance, the look of Gem New. Not as deeply printed as the last, but a strong plate. Choice Almost Uncirculated. Well margined on all sides. There is very faint lower left corner handling, bent lower right corner tip, and a natural paper thinning at the bottom center edge in the paper as made.

Ex F.C.C. Boyd Estate.
