Lawful Money of South Carolina. April 10, 1778. Uncut Sheet of Four Notes. Unnumbered. Each note signed by H.[enry] Crouch and. W. Mathews. Uniface four subject sheet, Seven Shillings & Six Pence-Fifteen Shillings/Twenty Shillings-Thirty Shillings, with partial untrimmed wide margins. Printed on laid paper, visible watermark bottom center. 220mm by 128mm. Each note with cursive font styles and ornate end pattern cuts. At the lower right corner are circular ''seal'' style vignettes. Note styles, designs, and format as previous single notes. The scarcer type notes on the issue including the ''Sun'' and the Thirty Shillings ''Hope and Anchor''.
As an uncut sheet, quite a rarity in any grade. Sadly, the sheet is impaired. Net, Very Good or so. It is whole from the outside margin lines with a wide sheet edge at the left. However, multiple foldings have left the centers weak and with large voids into the central juncture. The two right side notes, if cut away would be complete examples. The others on the left would have rough corners.
