Standard size, approximately 110mm by 75mm. Standard face style using border cuts with denominations, vignette seal and motto at the lower left. Ornamental printed back, denomination and imprint Printed by P. Timothy, 1777. The most often seen remainder with only one signature. From the face, the look of Gem. Crisp Uncirculated. Well centered and margined on the face. However, the back is centered down and off the paper. Premium paper quality.

The sheeting with this denomination was $5-$6-$8-$1 (see Ford Part VI) and they were printed as double sheets with two panes. In order for the print figure to work, half of the $5 notes would have to be ''masked'' out at printing by shifting the printing plate one note position. This same method would have been used for the $20 note on the other sheet type.
