Colony of Rhode Island. November 6, 1775. Twenty Shillings. Due within Five Years. No.3561. Signed by Cole, Dexter and Clark. Printed on thin paper. 68mm by 103mm. Printed on both sides, standard Rhode Island style. Within three border cuts are typeset texts, Rhode Island seal at left, signatures at bottom. Ornamental pattern back from edge to edge, 'Twenty/Shillings' at center. Imprint 'Printed by/JOHN CARTER'. There were 4,000 notes printed.
A bright and vivid note. Appears to be Nearly Extremely Fine. There is a light horizontal fold and some handling visible. Paper rim mounted from the back for display. Cleanly done with no visible glue residue to the well margined face edges. This is also one of the highest grade notes we have ever seen on this Act and is typical Ford-Boyd high quality on the Colony. An important note for the specialist.
Ex F.C.C. Boyd Estate.
