Colony of Rhode Island. June 29, 1775. Ten Shillings. With 2.5% Interest, Due within Two Years. ...Colony of Rhode Island. June 29, 1775. Ten Shillings. With 2.5% Interest, Due within Two Years. No.1302. Signed by Bowler, Clarke and Cole. Printed on laid paper. 70mm by 96mm. Standard Rhode Island style. Within three border cuts are typeset texts, Rhode Island seal at left, signatures at bottom. The back is likely similar to the June 16, 1775 issue with an ornamental pattern back, 'TEN/SHILLINGS' at center. No imprint, printed by John Carter.

A rare issue date and an attractive note. More typical in grade on this series and style. Good to Very Good. Horizontal split and backed on thick blue paper. From the face, mostly whole and slightly trimmed in. Bright for the grade and a pleasing type note. Boyd pencil code on back, ''myxy'', indicating $10.00 was paid long ago. Considered a rarity then and more so now.

Ex F.C.C. Boyd Estate.
