Signed by John Morton, Signer of the Declaration of Independence, Cha.[rles] Humphreys and John Sellers. Printed on thinner rigid stock. Vertical format. Penn Arms at right. Nature print back. Hall and Sellers imprint. A superb quality note signed by John Morton. Much, much rarer in choice grade than a New Jersey John Hart note. Most Morton notes seen are Fine or so.

This is certainly full Crisp Uncirculated. The lower left corner is rubbed and slightly chipped from the tip. The deeply inked serial number shows through to the back. A nearly microscopic pinhole at the bottom. Well margined, impeccable paper surfaces, strong printing, deep embossing and most of all a superbly rendered signature. Hard to improve on and one of the finest John Morton notes we have ever seen.

Ex F.C.C. Boyd Estate.
