Standard horizontal Pennsylvania size and format, approximately 88mm by 75mm. Typeset face with border cuts, Penn Arms at the upper right side. No plate letter, asterisk after date on face. Nature print back with Hall and Sellers imprint, date '1769'.
These higher denomination notes have significantly lower print figures than the small format change bills or lesser denominations. Only 1,000 printed. A second example of this type and excellent quality. Fine to Very Fine. Vertical quarter folds, the center creased moderately and bent along the horizontal. The paper is still quite strong on this well printed note. Cut fairly close with two tiny slits on the top edge. Clean surfaced with very trivial paper remnants on the back corners. A reminder, strictly graded high condition notes are not often seen. The majority of these thick paper notes are split in half and rejoined.
